Thendral

I’ve always wanted a blog titled Thendral. In Tamil, Thendral or தென்றல் means a gentle breeze. Like many others, I love the feeling of a light breeze as I walk by the sea or sit by a lake. Discovering a poem that nudges me to slow down or exploring an idea with tenderness are similar gentle spaces that I long to stay in. And mountains. Beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina will be all over Thendral. Occasionally, we’ll meditate. Talk about books. Maybe share some creative projects. In that sense, I hope to use this blog as a space to store some of my favorite Thendral type things 🙂

Thendral, I hope, will be gentle, but not passive. You’ve heard the Che quote: “At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love.” If Che himself felt ridiculous about it and said it anyway, why wouldn’t I? 😉

Thendral is inspired by revolutionary optimism about humanity
What does that look like?

A little bit of this, as I aspire to write this way

A little bit of this

Have I told you how much I love living in the mountains? This is my backyard in Spring.

So…a lot of this 🙂
