Welcome! I am an Associate Professor at Jindal Global Law School at O.P. Jindal Global University. I received my Ph.D. in Sociology from Purdue University in 2019. After receiving my Ph.D., I was an Assistant Professor at Western Carolina University.
My research interests include social inequality (particularly intersections of gender, caste, and class), state, social movements, development, and globalization. My dissertation project examines the role of the state in how people negotiate inequality. In particular, I study how state policies influence the frames people use to interpret unequal access to food and care and how those frames challenge or adapt to inequality.
